Experience:

Chris has been a video producer and documentary filmmaker since 2000. Shortly after graduating from the New York Film Academy's Director Craft program, he spent time in the Washington DC metro indie film scene serving multiple roles including Producer, Director and Director of Cinematography. In 2002 Chris moved to Blacksburg to become Montgomery County Government's video and radio producer. Producing many informational videos and documentaries for the County. Chris arrived at Virginia Tech in early 2011 as a Video Producer for then Video Broadcast Services. In the middle of all of that Chris Co-Owned Horse Archer Productions, a documentary film company, that went on to produce many award winning or recognized feature and short length documentaries as well as producing a nation wide music show on PBS. Chris is currently the Studio Production Manager and Video Producer for TLOS where he creates educational content and informational videos for the University.

Professional Interests:

Chris' professional interests range from utilizing videos in new and interactive ways within course material. He is also experimenting with Augmented, Mixed and Virtual realities to someday bring XR content to the classroom and across campus. Chris is also interested in 360 Video and Spatial audio.

Personal Interests:

Chris enjoys times spending it with his family, 2 cats, 2 dogs, and 9 chickens. He enjoys watching documentaries and movies with his family. Chris is an avid gardener with 1000SF of garden space dedicated to fresh cut flowers and is turning his backyard into a natural Food Forest.
