Experience:
Eman A. M. Amer is an educator with a strong interdisciplinary background and a commitment to integrating technology into education. She holds a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Computer Information Systems from Yarmouk University, an M.S. in Strategic Communication from Radford University, and is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Educational Psychology at Virginia Tech. Ms. Amer has taught in diverse fields, including computer science, business, and the performing arts. Having served for years as a developer, project manager, and director of the computer department, she brings a unique blend of hands-on technical expertise and strategic leadership.
Driven by the belief that every student deserves personalized learning, Ms. Amer focuses on creative, student-centered instructional methods. She designs engaging lessons using visual aids, real-world connections, and interactive techniques to maximize student understanding. This approach extends to her work with Generative AI (GenAI) in education; she has tested more than 50 GenAI tools and developed frameworks for interacting with Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) such as ChatGPT and Gemini. She has expertise in prompt engineering, designing custom Google Gems, leveraging platforms like NotebookLM, and developing intelligent AI and voice agents for various needs.
Eager to inspire curiosity and academic growth, Ms. Amer is dedicated to helping students connect foundational skills to real-world experiences. Currently, she is expanding her expertise by learning to design and develop LLMs specifically tailored for educational use—furthering her mission to bridge the gap between advanced AI technologies and effective, inclusive pedagogy.
