Dr. S.B. Chandler is Virginia Tech's inaugural Section 508 and Digital Accessibility Officer—a role responsible for promoting accessibility in electronic and information technology as well as mitigating cases that violate Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and other laws and policies. The position spans the Office of Equity and Accessibility and Accessible Technologies in Technology-enhanced Learning and Online Strategies (TLOS). A recovering professor, Chandler taught design and media to more than 1000 Hokies. He also worked on the Ensemble web CMS and was a product owner for Secure Identity Services.
