Overview
Panopto Recorder is the primary tool used to create video recordings for Panopto. It allows instructors to capture multiple sources simultaneously, such as slides, screen activity, webcam video, and audio.
Recordings are automatically uploaded to the Panopto platform where they can be edited, captioned, and shared with students through Canvas.

General Information
Students typically access Panopto recordings through Canvas and will not have creator access to the Panopto course folder. If instructors create video assignments, students may use the Panopto Video tool through the Canvas Rich Content Editor to access Panopto Recorder to record and submit to video assignments.

Instructor: Log into Canvas, navigate to a site, and select Panopto Video. If Panopto Video is not enabled in your menu, see How do I manage Course Navigation links?
Student: Log into Canvas, navigate to your video assignment, and use the Panopto Video tool through the Canvas Rich Content Editor.
