Panopto Editor

Overview

Panopto Editor provides a streamlined, browser-based environment for modifying and enhancing recordings without requiring separate video editing software. Within the editor, instructors can trim the beginning or end of a video, cut out mistakes or pauses, and make non-destructive edits that can be adjusted at any time. The editor also supports enriching video content by inserting PowerPoint presentations, adding website links, embedding YouTube videos, and incorporating interactive elements such as quizzes directly within the timeline. Instructors can update and correct captions, edit transcripts, and manage multiple video streams (such as screen and webcam views) to control how content is displayed.
