Overview
DubBot is a web crawler with many specialized reporting features. It will assist in the creation of better quality and more accessible web content by providing reports identifying accessibility issues, broken links, spelling errors, PDF file checking, and more. Features include:
Web Accessibility Checks: Helping to ensure your website is WCAG 2.1 or 2.2 compliant through automated testing and reviews.
Web Governance Policies: Ensuring your content is consistent and complies with established policies.
Broken Link Checks: Uncover and correct broken links to ensure a better and more consistent browsing experience.
Spelling and Readability Checks: Maintain content with improved readability.
SEO Checks: Encourages better SEO routines to improve searchability and visibility.
PDF Checks: Performs accessibility checks on hosted PDFs.
Dashboards: Dashboards provide a quick overview on the status and scoring of a website and set of websites.
Using DubBot can help employees provide an enhanced level of usability and accessibility for the digital content they manage by remediating the reported issues found. Features include:

Students do not typically have access to DubBot.
DubBot doesn’t provide a fully comprehensive accessibility review. Manual testing is still required to ensure full compliance, but this tool will provide
Websites and applications that are behind two-factor authentication. The tool doesn’t have a way to bypass two-factor authentication at this time, so any content protected in this way will be unable to be scanned.
Websites that contain PII or other protected information should not be scanned with this tool.
DubBot runs weekly automated scans of designated public webpages and will provide email notifications on completion of the scan.
It offers a simple reporting dashboard, as well as options to export reported issues into your already established workflows for maintenance, updates, and remediation to ensure constant improvement for web accessibility.
Dubbot runs automated accessibility checks on published web content. The resulting reports can be used to improve knowledge of accessibility guidelines and provide tips for remediation.
Students do not typically have access to DubBot.

How to Access
Faculty & Staff: To request access to DubBot, email dubbot_vt@vt.edu with your title, department, and a list of sites you'd like to assess.
Student Employees (by supervisor’s request): To request DubBot access for student employees, supervisors should email dubbot_vt@vt.edu with their title, department, a list of sites they want DubBot to assess, and the students’ PID@vt.edu.
