PREP
PREP
Overview
PREP is a web based platform that uses artificial intelligence to quickly convert documents like PDFs, Word files, and PowerPoint presentations into accessible formats. It is used to meet compliance standards like WCAG, PDF UA, and Section 508. PREP automates much of the PDF remediation process, tagging up to 90 percent of document structures like tables, lists, and headings. Users can review AI generated tags, run an accessibility checker, and produce fully accessible PDFs.
Since PREP is browser-based, it is accessible from any computer or mobile device with an internet connection, but it performs best in Chrome, Firefox, and Opera browsers.
