Jennifer Jones

Jennifer Jones joined the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences in February 2016. Before joining the Virginia Tech faculty, Jennifer was in a leadership position in the public school system in Richmond, Virginia. She has been in the education field for over twenty years and has previously worked with students of all ages.

Jennifer currently works in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences program office as the Assistant Director for the Online Master of Agricultural and Life Sciences (OMALS) program. She currently oversees the eight different concentrations within the program and manages all aspects of the program including marketing and recruitment, admissions, student progress, and programmatic development and evaluation. She also manages the OMALS website, the Canvas student resource project site, and the faculty resource project site.

Jennifer serves at the college and university level in multiple capacities including being a former CALS Faculty Association executive board member, current A/P faculty senator, and current A/P Faculty Senate Secretary. She is also a TLOS Faculty Fellow for online learning.
