B.A. in Professional Studies from Tennessee State University, a M.A. in Management from American Military University, and a Ed.D from NorthCentral University in Educational Technology and E-Learning.

Experience:

Gary Burns, Ed.D Retired Military with over 20 yrs in service. has worked in the field of Technology Support, and distance education for more than 15 years. He has served as a corporate trainer, face-to-face classroom instructor, and support services. Currently he serves as the Senior Director for Support Services in Technology-enhanced Learning and Online Strategies at Virginia Tech where he oversees support services and related activities such as incident management, and maintenance of computers, servers, and other equipment in physical learning spaces.

• Certified as a Microsoft Certified System Engineer
• Certified Computer Forensics Examiner by the Information Assurance Review Board
