Built-In Accessibility Checkers
Browser
The Chrome browser has some accessibility tools built into its DevTools view, such as:
- Accessibility pane: Lets you explore the accessibility properties of the selected elements, such as the ARIA states and computed names.
- Color picker: Let's you see the color values for the selected element and whether it meets contrast requirements, and also provides a color eyedrop picker.
- Lighthouse: Let's you run an accessibility audit of your page (and audits for other aspects of page quality too)
Documents
Some document creation and editing software comes with tools to test the accessibility of the documents they generate.
