Main content for "Innovation and Outreach Studio"

The Innovation and Outreach Studio, located in 1140 Torgersen Hall, is more than the place you go to check out a camera and tripod. It is a physical venue where faculty can come for assistance and advice and where teams can collaborate. Our core mission is improving student learning by helping faculty pursue opportunities for innovation in technology-enhanced learning.

The I/O Studio team is available to provide resources to faculty with great ideas for incorporating technology into their curriculum. We are here to work with faculty to facilitate design thinking exercises, collaborate on sandbox projects, provide agile project management, assist with Innovation in Learning Grants applications, and advise on 4-VA Grants.

The studio has four reservable spaces—the lounge, flow, and window areas plus our flexible classroom—and is stocked with post-it notes, whiteboards, butcher paper, and other tools for ideation. We have two noise-reducing A/V bays, six multimedia workstations, an AR/VR area, and several 3-D printers.

Please stop by 1140 Torgersen Hall to see the remodeled space, schedule a time to use our facilities, or propose an idea for a sandbox project that could have a positive impact in the courses you teach.
