The Office of Technology for the Arts

The Office of Technology for the Arts (OTA) works broadly to highlight and strengthen the bonds among the arts, technology, and education. In so doing, it employs the university's strengths in all these areas--and especially in broadband networking--to foster collaborations with Virginia public schools, teachers, and educational institutions as well as arts venues, museums, community centers, and other programs that wish to be part of a 21st century learning community.

OTA works closely with the Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech and the Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology housed therein. Initiatives undertaken by OTA tend to be trans-disciplinary, collaborative, and entrepreneurial in nature and often involve private sector and community-based partners.
